manuheali'i on the go

citrus travel tote * shopper * cosmetic clutch

between summer's sky high oil prices and the current economic rollercoaster, it seems most everyone i know has put their travel plans on hold. that said, you may be inspired to hit the road after seeing the latest accessory collection from manuheali'i if only to tote your gear in the new fall patterns which seem to be lifted straight from a sketchbook filled with watercolor impressions.

if you worry about someone making off with your bag at the airport, take a peek at the updated large canvas travel tote rocking a juicy jolt of color that makes it easy to spot in a crowd. the prints also add a tropical punch to manuheali'i's new shopping tote and small clutches which, for readers who are already gearing up for the holidays, easily double as an eco-friendly way to "wrap" gifts.

price point for the new collection ranges from $9 to $68 and can be scooped up in the online shop or at manuheali'i's punahou & kailua outposts.

manuheali'i summer style

this just in - new styles from manuheali'i's popular accessory line have just been stocked in the online shop. alas, the travel tote featured earlier in the year (which promptly sold out) is nowhere to be found, however do take a peek at handbag designer meleana's signature design made just for manuheali'i which is rocking a lovely two tone colorway this season (shown above).

laua'e kathy flounce + bamboo bag

another new arrival is the silk laua'e collection featuring a comfy silk/cotton blend to keep you cool during the long hot summer (m's aloha shirt can be found here).

shop online or hele over to manuheali'i's two oahu outposts to scoop up the designs on your wish list.

spring blossoms at manuheali'i

ka'ili li'i + monstera kaimana

there are so many new styles for spring at manuheali'i that a mini virtual fashion show seems to be in order. the lovely ka'ili li'i dress defines versatility with its ability to convert to three different bodice styles, a length which allows it to double as a tunic, and hidden handy dandy pockets.

and it's hard to resist the fresh spring colors on the updated monstera kaimana dress which is too pretty for words.

the first thing that came to mind upon spotting the kat top was, of course, fellow island blogger kat of our adventures in japan. unless design is your trade, it's not often you have a chance to fill your closet with your very own eponymous top which can also be had in a fabulous mix of manuheali'i patterns.

kukui li'i + kukui nui kat

meleana bag

my bet is owners of manuheali'i's new meleana bag (not sure if there is a connection to handbag designer meleana blaich) will get stopped on the street by passersby who cannot help but notice its eye catching graphics. sturdy canvas fabric is emblazoned with traditional hawaiian designs like 'ulu and 'awapuhi while raffia details echo the natural world.

shop manuheali'i online or stop by their boutiques in kailua and punahou to take a peek at the full collection.

ohana style at manuheali'i

yes virginia, there is a difference between tacky outdated alohawear and cool vintage island threads. the fresh botanical prints from manuheali'i will no doubt fall into the latter category one day and their website is the perfect one stop shop to pick up gifts for the entire family. and since they ship via priority mail your order just may squeak by the postmaster's holiday deadline.

take a peek at manuheali'i's hibiscus collection which has everything from the cute ailana dress & boys' aloha shirts (shown above) to stylish shirts for grownups and lovely fabric lined lauhala handbags for the ladies.

manuheali'i says aloha

kalo knit + spider lily

i'm not one for traditional aloha wear but a friend just turned me on to a cool line called manuheali'i. their clothing is very wearable and quite pretty with the added bonus of more modern cuts on pieces like the kalo boat knit top (shown above).

if you like what you see then hele over to their site (or stop by their shop in kailua or punahou) since manuheali'i is having a sale which means you can save 20% (or more).

{mahalo kym for the tip!}
